Amanda Hightower is the Co-Founder & Executive Director of REST (Real Escape from the Sex Trade) in Seattle, Washington. Amanda began working with street-involved and sexually exploited individuals in the Seattle region in 2007, and co-founded REST in 2009. Amanda champions a person-centered, strengths-based, and self-determination approach to care, believing that providing opportunities for survivors to increase a sense of agency and self-efficacy are critical to healing and recovery after exploitation.
