Miriam is a counselor who has worked in mental health programming for 15 years. She specializes in trauma treatment, and is an engaging teacher, excelling at doing psychoeducation for survivors and communities. At World Hope International, Miriam serves as a counselor and as the manager of WHI’s Recovery Centre for survivors of trafficking and gender-based violence. Miriam holds a higher teacher’s certificate, from Milton Margai College of Education and Technology, and a diploma in social work and psychological care from The Institute of Public Administration and Management. Miriam lives with her husband Abdul and their children in Freetown, Sierra Leone.
