About this talk

Educators, clinicians, health professionals, and parents are witnessing concerning sexual behavior trends amongst children and young people. The rise of sexting, non-consensual online and offline sexual activities, and the normalization of pornography have left our children more vulnerable to sexual abuse than ever before, particularly within educational settings. There is an urgent need for schools to proactively educate to prevent harms—equally, there is considerable resistance within schools to address this topic.

This presentation will focus on the key messaging required to gain the attention of school decision-makers, outline the elements of best-practice pornography education, and showcase IQ PROGRAMS—educational materials that achieve these outcomes. IQ PROGRAMS implement innovative and evidence-based strategies; provide educators with confidence and save schools hours of time and stress; provide parent & caregiver engagement strategies; and equip children and young people with skills for critical thinking. These resources are readily adaptable for global release.

  2. Learn the elements of best practice school-based pornography education within school settings.

  3. Receive an introduction to IQ PROGRAMS: equipping educators for the task of supporting kids and teens to author their future.
