About this talk

Over the last several decades, American law and culture have evolved to better understand the coercive dynamics surrounding domestic violence or intimate partner abuse. Yet at the same time, they have stagnated, or even corroded, in their recognition of similar dynamics in prostitution or commercial sexual exploitation. This presentation will analyze the similarities, and differences, between domestic violence and prostitution and will identify key lessons from history that will help us chart a path forward.
