About this talk

Pornography is often mistakenly defended as a form of speech protected by the First Amendment. This talk will give an overview of the legal landscape, explain why the free speech framework is the wrong way to understand pornography, discuss how opposing it isn’t a form of censorship or a threat to freedom of speech, and offer some strategies for reframing the issue in conversations with others.
