Anna Sander and Josephine Appelqvist have been working with survivors of prostitution for over 20 years. In 2004, they founded the Swedish organization Talita, and have since developed a unique trauma-informed exit-program based on the knowledge gathered over the 20 years working with Talita's target group. And the method works: virtually all women who have completed Talita's program have exited prostitution for good. Through partner organizations, the Talita method is now also offered in Mongolia, Romania and Kenya. In this workshop, Anna and Josephine will describe the Talita method and what they consider best practice when it comes to supporting survivors of prostitution, highlighting examples from Sweden and abroad.
